CALIFORNIA CUP HERITAGE

Hello 54th Annual California Cup Participants,

Welcome to the 2026 edition of the California Cup! Since starting in 1972, with six men’s teams, we have expanded to close to one hundred and twenty-five teams for men, women, boys and girls of ages ranging from under eight to over eighty. 

​

Over the years we have sent many young men to play in various Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) events and even the Olympic Games. At this time, young men who gained experience at California Cup are currently playing and studying in Australia, England, Germany, and the Netherlands. Locally, a Hockey scholarship is offered to hockey students at Moorpark College. Many of the young women who were scouted at our event have received Hockey scholarships to universities and colleges across the nation. 

 

Every year teams from around the world continue coming to California Cup. In the past, teams have come from Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, England, Germany, the Netherlands, India, Taiwan and even Australia and New Zealand. In addition we have had many Olympians and prominent players compete in our tournament.

Besides the Olympic players, we have also been lucky enough to host many World Panel officials. Most recently, four 2024 Paris Olympic Umpires including, Ayanna McClean (FIH 2023 Female Umpire of the Year).

 

We look forward to having you compete, officiate, or spectate at the 2026 California Cup and hope that you create many life-long memories, make many friends, play hard, and most importantly have fun!
